Not a creature was stirring, not even a...

...bunch of cute chocolate truffle mice that my dad sent us!

Adorable and tasty!

My dad gives the best little presents. Thanks Dad! On another note, I started my first day at the magazine today. Everything was going well until the grand pupa Editor walked in and asked me to edit a caption he had just wrote. I sat there staring at it for 10 minutes trying to find something wrong with it. I ended up circling the hyphen between the word "holiday-season," and putting a ? next to it. Hopefully I'm a little more impressive next time.

"May your days be merry and bright"

"He is the light and the life of the world." -Mosiah 16:9

Ah Christmas! You're here again. What a wonderful concept for a holiday. It's a time to relax and be with family and friends. It's a holiday devoted to light-- lightheartedness, light wallets, lights in windows and in trees, and the Light of Christ. Elder Eyring gives a great talk about this called "Home for Christmas." There's something special about this time of year. My family and I used to pile into our car with blankets, hot chocolate, and a 10-pc. chicken McNugget and drive around town looking for the best decorated houses. This year, Cole and I put up our own lights and tree and it's amazing how it fills our little apartment with warmth.

So happy you're almost here, Christmas!
